History of Ron Wise Auto Body

Ron Wise Auto Body opened our doors on December 2nd, 1978. Ron Wise grew up in Norwood, Delaware County attending Saint Gabriel’s Grade School, Saint James High School in Chester, and graduated from Temple University in May of 1977 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ron began restoring a 1964 Ford Econoline Van during college as a hobby. After college graduation, Ron and John Trefz opened a small body shop in Sun Village. Even though their partnership ended in 1978, Ron and John remained friends. When Ron opened Ron Wise Auto Body, at its original and only location, he had one garage bay approximately 1,600 square feet in size. Today, the facility which operates in the historic OW KetchamBrick and Tile Mold Shop, covers 6,000 square feet with 10 garage bays with state-of-the-art equipment and a clean, comfortable reception area. A hobby became a lifelong passion.

Our first concern is YOU! You can always repair or replace a vehicle, not a human life. The safety of the driver and passengers in your vehicle are of the utmost importance. We realize being involved in a vehicle accident is an unpleasant experience. We strive to assist you in every aspect of the repair process from preparing the damage appraisal, working WITH your insurance company on your behalf; not FOR your insurance company, arranging for a rental car, and delivering your vehicle in a clean, timely manner to pre –crash condition. We want to make this process as easy and pain free as possible.

Ron Wise Auto Body is a locally owned business with two shops here in Delaware County, in Ridley Park and Broomall, so we can give your repair personalized attention from start to finish. Your appraisal will be handled by Ron Wise; yes there really is a Ron Wise. With personalized service, we will keep you informed of the status of your repair from drop-off to delivery, either by phone or email. We are a small “Mom-and-Pop” repair facility, priding ourselves in personalized service. When your repair is complete, Ron will walk you to your vehicle and go over the repair with you to be certain you are completely satisfied.
